» Need help with TV Episodes
Okay, I am having a hard time getting tv episodes to "scan in" correctly so I'm looking to start over since I have only a few episodes so far.
I'll delete the advanced settings xml file and just start from scratch.
What is the easiest way to get recorded tv episodes to show conveniently in XBMC?
Can someone give me an example of their directory structure, file naming, and advacedsettings.xml?
I tried following the wiki example for Battle Star Galactica exactly as it is written but the season folders showed up as "Dark Season" and there were no video files scanned."Set Content" on the folder CONTAINING the Battlestar Galactica folder.
Either that, or "Set Content" on the Battlestart Galactica folder and set "This folder contains...... - 2009-07-04
» How and wat do dilute solution/pure stubstance/mechanical mixtures/concentrated solution. molecules look like?
just a brief description on how each looks like
PLS HELPI have to take a stab at it cause google isn't going to give you anything.
I know that mechanical mixture is a process by which you mix two or more different types of molecules, but they can also be separated, so they aren't actually forming new molecules or even binding... you can separate them... so they would look like their original form...
Diluted have lower viscosity levels so they will probably be further apart, but the molecule should still look the same, while concentrated they should be more tightly packed together.
Pure substance should be only the substance's molecules... concentrated can still have other solutions in it. DRINK COFEE / GoTo Bed...... - 2009-07-04
» What does this dream about samurais coming after me with swords and then somehow I became one of them wth!?
Okay, I was in middle of a war. I was one of the soldiers in white going up against bunch of japanese samurais. Our side got smashed through really quick and soon everyone was either killed or captured except me; I hid in a room somewhere and nobody found me. (I think I killed like 3 people when they were alone or something I don't really remember.) That room had someone else, too that was my ally.
And then a samurai guy found us and then I said something in English and he bowed. He listened to me and then brought me to the Lieutenant guy in charge and he made me one of his aids or something and actually listened to me. I suddenly became one of them. What the hell???
What does this mean? I don't get it.I think you wanna take...... - 2009-07-04
» Why do some argue that Dec. 25th was chosen as Christ's birth because of pagan rituals?
I realize the various correlations in both Egyptian mythology and the coorelations as related to Mithra in the Greco-Roman world. However, the date for Christ on Dec. 25 originates from a mathmatical caculation as argued by Julius Africanus in AD 221 in his work called Chronicle. No, the origins of the Christ birth myth are derived from a pagan winter solstice ritual. Unless you're irredeemably lazy, this is a concrete fact that can be confirmed very easily.
http://www.pocm.info/getting_started_poc...JESUS was born in the fall, not winter. It's not an argument, it's a fact. There is a difference. It's full of pagan crap. So is Easter... both are rip-offs of pagan holidays. The reason early christians did this was t...... - 2009-07-04

Basically I'm down to the 60mm Micro-Nikkor and the 105mm. Which would you suggest?
I'm wanting to hear whats worth spending my money on directly from people who have them. So if you've never had one or used one, please keep your comments to yourselves.
Thanks!
-WillBoth "Best" and "most cost effective" are terms that are subject to a lot of interpretation. I like the 60mm micro Nikkor. Not only is it the least expensive of Nikon's macro lenses but it is long enough to provide good working distance with the digital frame. I've used one for about 8 years and find it to be flexible enough to shoot a wide variety of close up subjects. Thanks fmw. Do you know of a good place to buy said lens?I sure do love my 60mm Nikkor. Hi all, hoping someone can help me with this. I've been using Panorama Maker 3 for a while now, and have always found it to deliver excellent results. On this attempt however:

Something has gone seriously wrong, and I have no idea what. I've followed all the basic rules of panos; tripod was level, camera was level, 1/3 overlap (roughly, a little hard to judge the distance in spots)... Anyway, if anyone can give me some insight, I'd really appreciate it.

Avian flu not confirmed - Kenya
Posted Mon, 15 May 2006
Nyeri - Veterinary authorities in Kenya on Sunday said that bird flu has not been diagnosed and confirmed in the country despite the discovery of dead domestic and wild birds at certain areas in the country.
But they conceded that vigorous campaigns to educate on the deadly avian influenza was still needed in order to give Kenyans the confidence and assure them that the virus had hit the country.
Senior veterinary officer, Dr Paul Kalerwa, speaking on Sunday in Nyeri, the central provincial capital, 140km north of Nairobi, expressed concern that majority of Kenyans had stopped feeding on chicken due to fear of contacting the deadly virus.

Is a filter and air pump the same thing?
And
Can a betta live with Them? I have a 5 gallon tank.1) no, a filter is a device that actually cleans the water. and air pump is a device that pumps air into the tank via a tube and air stone to aerate the water.
2) yes, a betta would be even more better off with a filter and an air pump. Just remember if you do get these devices you get only the size you need.

an airpump makes the water oxygenated and is not needed for a betta as they can breath air from the surface

Wow.
RSI'm sorry, but this is not news. Italians (if you'll remember from a major tournament that took place last summer) LOVE to blame refs and dream up conspiracies.
Whoever is in first place each season is accused of being benefitted by "conspiracies" and paid-off refs. This year, it's Milan. Woow, they got 9 penalties!? Could it possibly because they have one of the best attacks in the league? Other years, Juventus is supposed to be the beneficiary of this grand conspiracy. How on earth did Roma and Lazio ever win the championship a few years back.

» What could this be, is it serious?
Okay so my dad has been sick for about 2 weeks now. The doctor says it's bronchitis but to me it seems like more. For example...
He'll start coughing and wont be able to breathe for like 10 seconds and within those seconds he kinda blacks out for abit and cant see anything. He'll wake up from that and not really remember anything that just happened. Does this make sense? It does sound like Bronchitis, different people have slite different reactions to it,it just matters on how bad it has gotten. He mite need some Musanex or mucus relief. He mite have some settled in the bottem of his lungs. Sounds like REALLY bad bronchitis. Bronchitis is known for it's horrible cough. Sometimes it can be bad enough to make you vomit just f...... - 2009-07-04
» Will losing 15-25 pounds distort a tattoo?
I'm thinking of getting a tattoo on my back right shoulder (not ON the shoulder just basically the right corner of my back) and I was wondering if it'll distort the tattoo in that area once I lose some weight.Of course it won't.No, not usually. I have done many tattoos on people who have lost weight, and there ink looked fine. The skin usually tightens up after, and during the weight loss. I have seen, however stretch marks from weight gain, effect the tattoo, but this usually was on the stomache area, and not the back, so you probably have nothing to worry about.Nope... and I know first hand because I have a tat that's 9 years old in the exact same place. It's a good 6" tall by 5" wide. I lost over 50 pounds and it...... - 2009-07-04

» The classification of many protozoans is based on?
A) How they move
B) Their method of reproduction
C) Their pigments
D) Their method of getting foodClassification
Protozoa are members of the Kingdom Protista, along with algae (plant-like), and slime molds and water molds (fungi-like). A convenient way to classify protozoans is based on the way they move. The four phyla of protozoans are:
Sarcodina: the Sarcodinians, which move by extending their cytoplasm (e.g. amoeba)
Zoomastigina: the Zooflagellates, which propel themselves by flagella (e.g. trypanosoma)
Ciliophora: the Ciliaphorans, which by hairlike cilia (e.g. paramecium)
Sporozoa: the Sporozoans, which don't move by themselves at all (e.g. plasmodium)

» Flash Meter
Does anyone use a flash meter with off camera strobes?Does anyone use a flash meter with off camera strobes?
That would pretty much sum up the use for a flash meter. Since it's such a quick burst of light, a regular meter wont work. So you need an incident meter that can hold that number so you can read it. Generally photographers setup the lights into position and take a reading off of each strobe individually. Then you can determine the lighting ratio and whether to move the lights or adjust the power.I'm just now experimenting with the strobes. For fixed work, I have been able to gets some acceptable shots through trial and error (and the addition of umbrellas). I didn't know whether others relied on the meters or if they were abl...... - 2009-07-04
» Why did the Catholics steal all the good holidays in the olden days?
Christmas... Originally a Pagan holiday, celebrating the Winter Solstice
Halloween... Originally a Pagan holiday, celebrating the Harvest and the dead
Easter, Originally a Pagan holiday celebrating the coming of spring...
Why are olden day catholics so mean? =(
BTW - Since Christmas is officially recognized by the country, its a secular holiday. Eat THAT!Same reason why the gays want to steal marriageWell apparently, this was because converting people to a completely different religion was always going to be hard so they deliberately built their religion on the foundations already laid by paganism.
For example on halloween pagans originally believed that in the time between sunset and sunrise was a time when the dead could walk ...... - 2009-07-04

» Can someone tell me where I can buy a Blue Topaz Talisman?
it's a pendant.try your local new age store. the one in my town (vancouver) is called banyen books, and i think they deliver, even though theyre far away. But beware: these talismans are way overpriced, and yes, you probably dont mind spending a lot of money for this because its special to you, but as a girl who has grown up in the jewelry industry, I know that the retail value of these items is ALOT more than their wholesale value. For example: a ruby and diamond ring that is sold retail value for $600, you can buy at the annual gem show in tucson for $175. Which by the way... if you are able to make your way to that show in february, they have tons of items you would be interested in, both high end and low end. however you need a spe...... - 2009-07-04
» What makes clouds white?
Clouds are white because their water droplets or ice crystals are large enough to scatter the light of the seven wavelengths (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet), which combine to produce white light. Clouds will appear dark or gray when either they are in another clouds shadow or the top of a cloud casts a shadow upon its own base. Clouds are white due to scattering of sunlight, which we see as white light. In fact, clouds are little droplets of water suspended by various factors. They are too tiny to fall as rain, but they are not too tiny to reflect a tiny bit of sunlight.
If we went to another planet with a different sun than our own and that planet had clouds, we would see them as a different color because our e...... - 2009-07-04
» Where can you buy potassium nitrate?
I keep seeing questions about potassium nitrate show up on here; I wonder if it has some back yard explosives purpose as well, but just to check, I just looked on ebay, and there's bunches of sellers offering this, and they'll ship right to your door. Why are you guys making things so difficult? Sure, check at your local garden store, but if they don't have it, buy it on ebay. My step-daughter said she felt very unsure of whether we would accept that she is bi. She told her sister first and then me, then her mother and her dad and grandmother after everyone else. She said she worried if we would still love her.
Be sure and show your brother unconditional love and acceptance at this time.Do you have more of a reason to believe he is gay other than that? I'm assuming you do so it is possible that he is considering coming out.Possibly, he could feel like they won't accept him and he might hold that against them....... - 2009-07-04

» how do I get twilight to LOOK like twilight?
Hi - I wondered if anyone could help... I've been shooting quite a bit at twilight but whilst the results are technically OK, the images taken as metered end up looking more like daylight - they're perfectly exposed, I guess, but I don't want them to look like daylight! I want the deep blue sky and so on. I do bracket the exposures but still don't really get close. What am I doing wrong? I'm using available (natural) light only and am shooting on a 6x7 using fuji provia 100. hope someone can help, adamWith what are you metering and how? You need to understand that a meter of any kind, incident or reflected, will try to render the target to 18% grey. If you are metering a twilight sky, chances are, it's not middle grey. It's probably...... - 2009-07-04

» What would Confucius say if he lived in our age ?
Will he be laid to have a way? Wont his ideas ,rather educative, be accepted as old-fashioned ?He would have more to say than he could write down in a(nother) lifetime.
Considering how much China's urban regions have changed over the years since he was alive, both socially and philosophically, he would find it very difficult to adjust to the contemporary way of life in China's massive cities. Here most his ideas will probably be considered old-fashioned.
The rural areas of China have changed less though, and if he were to visit these he would probably encounter a lot of the old rituals - the 'li' - that people valued in his day. I don't think his ideas will fall out of place in the rural areas.

Hiya everyone i've registered here in the hope someone can help out someone i have got to know online. I'm looking for someone who lives near cheshire? Ok now here comes the difficult part... i am registered to a forum for parents who have lost or are losing their babies due to a condition called anencephaly.
These mothers are looking to create memories of their children. This family in particular don't have a great deal of money but would love for someone to take some photos of their twin boys neavan and nathan (when born in the next week or 2)
